Are you a perfectionist?

 Being a perfectionist has its ups and downs.

On the up side, it stretches you to do your best and keep getting better.

On the down side, you’re never good enough, no matter what you do.

What if, just as an experiment, you traded in being a ‘perfectionist’ and be a precisionist instead?  It’s a lot more effective and less stressful.

When I change the phrase “I have to do this” to “I get to do this,” my energy shifts from resistance to enthusiasm.

This is a simple technique I learned from Jill Badonsky, the founder of the Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching training that I completed in 2013.
